Celebrating Erasmus Days through sustainability, creativity and international learning

 Our Young Eco-Heroes

Kings Schools International celebrated ErasmusDays 2026 with a series of creative and educational activities inspired by the values of Erasmus+ and our environmental project, EcoPathway.

Throughout the celebration, students of different ages explored themes of sustainability, environmental responsibility and international awareness, discovering how individual actions and creative thinking can contribute to a more sustainable future.

The activities brought together environmental education, cultural exploration and hands-on learning, encouraging students to think about their role as responsible members of both their local and global communities.

Discovering the World Through Erasmus Passports

Our younger students celebrated the international spirit of Erasmus+ by designing their own Erasmus Passports. Through this creative activity, students explored the idea of travelling, discovering new countries and connecting with different cultures. The activity encouraged curiosity about the wider world while introducing students to the importance of cultural awareness, diversity and international understanding.

Planting Erasmus Seeds for a Greener Future

Our older students participated in an environmental activity by planting Erasmus Seeds in upcycled pots. By reusing existing materials rather than purchasing new containers, students explored the concept of giving everyday objects a second life. The activity provided a practical introduction to resource conservation, environmental responsibility and sustainable habits, demonstrating how small choices can contribute to protecting our planet.

Turning Waste into Creativity

Another highlight of the celebration was the creation of Recycling Robots, made entirely from waste materials. Students used their imagination and creativity to transform discarded objects into unique robot designs. Beyond encouraging artistic expression, the activity challenged students to reconsider the value of materials that might otherwise be thrown away. Through this hands-on experience, students explored the principles of reuse, waste reduction and creative problem-solving, learning that sustainability can also inspire innovation.

Inspiring Responsible Global Citizens

At Kings Schools International, we believe that education plays an important role in preparing young people to understand and respond to global challenges. Initiatives such as ErasmusDays and EcoPathway provide opportunities for students to develop environmental awareness while strengthening their creativity, independence and understanding of different cultures. By combining international education with practical sustainability activities, we aim to encourage students to become thoughtful, responsible and active members of the global community.

Our ErasmusDays celebration demonstrated that meaningful environmental education does not always require large projects or complicated solutions. Sometimes, it begins with a seed, a reused container, a creative idea or a simple decision to make a difference. We are proud of our young Eco-Heroes and their enthusiasm for building a greener, more connected future.
